Police seek suspect in hit-and-runs

Rocky Mount police are hoping to run down leads on another pair of hit-and-run cases that happened Tuesday only hours apart from each other, each involving a Ford Fusion.
Police responded to a report of a hit-and-run Tuesday at 2:23 p.m. at a business on the 1500 block of Benvenue Road. Officers said the victim was inside the store, shopping when her vehicle, a 2016 Ford Fusion, was struck by another vehicle, causing $1,000 damage.
Another hit-and-run case was reported later that evening. Officers responded to the case at 7:08 p.m. at a business on the 3600 block of Sunset Avenue. The victim told police that his car, a 2012 Ford Fusion, had been struck by another vehicle but no vehicle description was available. The car’s damage was estimated at $300.
