The Enfield Performing Arts Center will host a free music performance as part of its inaugural music series from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the old Enfield Jail behind the arts center on Market and Tillery streets.
“A Taste of New Orleans” will feature the New Orlean’s band Eyope, a synthesizer/horn/funk band as well as the Kaci Creole food truck, renowned for its Po’boys, gumbo, oysters and corn bread.
“We thought this would be a great way to introduce the public to our new music series by sponsoring this free concert and adding a Creole food truck to complete ‘The Taste of New Orleans’ experience,” EPAC President Andrew Wirtz said. “Our hope is that this concert will generate interest in restoring the building for future live performances and other cultural experiences for the area.
“We are mounting a massive capital campaign and the first phase of fundraising goal is $1 million.”
