The Rocky Mount Chamber Choir is set to open its 2018-19 season.

All the concerts of the Chamber Choir’s fourth season will take place at 4 p.m. on Sunday afternoons with the exception of the Valentine's Dinner and Concert.

The first concert on Sunday will include a variety of music, both sacred and secular. The hourlong performance will include two iconic standards of the choral repertoire: Randall Thompson's "Alleluia" and John Rutter's "Te Deum." Also on the program are settings of poetry by American authors Emily Dickinson and James Agee. Cowboy songs — with an award-winning whistler — and spirituals will close out the program.

The remaining concerts this season include a Christmas concert on Dec. 16., a Valentine's concert on Feb. 16 and a spring concert on May 5. The concerts in October, December and May are free of charge and take place at First Presbyterian Church in downtown Rocky Mount.
