Micajah Pettaway Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution honored the winners of the DAR Good Citizens Award at its May meeting.

The DAR recognizes and rewards seniors who possess the qualities of dependability, service, leadership and patriotism in their homes, schools and communities. These students are selected by their teachers because they demonstrate these qualities to an outstanding degree.

Winners of the Good Citizens Award for 2017-18 are Margie Holladay Brantley from Rocky Mount Academy, Dylan Thomas Brown from Faith Christian School, Tatyana Davae Dunn from Northern Nash High School, Dillon E. Garbrandt from Southwest Edgecombe High School, Blake Lee Hart from Tarboro High School, Henry Bennett Osterhout from Rocky Mount High School, Hunter Perry from Southern Nash High School and Kaylan Privette from Nash Central High School.

A certificate and pin were presented to each Good Citizen.
