N.C. Wesleyan College recently promoted Ben Lilley to associate director of admissions.
As associate director of admissions, Lilley is responsible for freshmen engagement, recruitment and admissions. Managing a dynamic team of admissions counselors, he will develop proactive strategies to engage prospective students, maintain communication and manage yield and quality. Lilley also serves as advisor of Wesleyan’s Refuge Campus Ministry.
A graduate of Wesleyan, Lilley worked as a student ambassador and later an intern in the Office of Admissions for four years. Upon graduation, he served as an admissions counselor for several years at Wesleyan and later moved on to teach math in the Martin County School System. In June 2014, Lilley rejoined the admissions team at Wesleyan as assistant director of admissions, where he was responsible for assisting in the recruitment and admission of undergraduate students.
“As an alumni, Ben has a tremendous amount of knowledge and passion for Wesleyan,” Wesleyan Vice President of Enrollment and Marketing Judy Rollins said. “He played an instrumental role in the enormous enrollment growth the College has experienced over the last four years and I believe he is fully equipped to lead the team in continuing the momentum of quality growth here at Wesleyan.”
Lilley earned a bachelor’s degree in math in 2010. Lilley and his wife, Elizabeth, met at Wesleyan and currently reside in Tarboro with their two sons, Nate and Cam.
