Links chapter gathers for White Rose Luncheon

The members of the Wilson-Rocky Mount-Tarboro Chapter of The Links, Incorporated recently hosted their fifth Biennial White Rose Luncheon at the Greenville Hilton in Greenville.
The theme for the occasion was a “Scholarship Luncheon and Fashion Show.”
The Wilson-Rocky Mount-Tarboro Chapter of the Links, Incorporated was chartered in 1948, the sixth chapter of The Links, Incorporated and the first chapter in the Southern Area. The Wilson-Rocky Mount-Tarboro Chapter has always been committed to the implementation of the National Programs by promoting civic, cultural, educational and health activities that improve the quality of life for all people in its various communities.
National program facets embraced by the chapter during the White Rose Luncheon were the Services to Youth Facet, the International Trends and Services Facet and the Arts Facet.
The program for the luncheon featured an exceptional display of fashions that aligned with the National program facets of the Links, Incorporated. The Chapter also recognized community leader the Rev. Richard Joyner from the Conetoe Family Life Center for his outstanding work with nutrition and food security in rural communities.
Jennifer King-Congleton, president of the Wilson-Rocky Mount-Tarboro Chapter of the Links, Incorporated, acknowledged all participants and thanked the organizations who have partnered with the Chapter and supported its many activities.
