In a time where communities are more divided than ever, the Harrison Family YMCA is a key resource to bridge gaps, bring people together and strengthen relationships among all, including the youth, adults and seniors who contribute daily to the betterment of our community.

Through the Annual Campaign, the Harrison Family YMCA is able to do this and provide the programs and services to those who need us most. “Welcome to all” is more than just a phrase to the YMCA.

Give to the Y this GivingTuesday, Nov. 28, and support a charity with a cause to strengthen the community. #GivingTuesday is more than just a day in November. It is a global day dedicated to giving, and the Y is making it easy for people to join in on the effort. People can pledge to donate easily online at https://www.harrisonfamilyy.org/support-y . They may also check out the giving tree on the front desk  at the YMCA and fill out a short pledge form there.

“Start using the hashtag #GivingTuesday on your social media accounts,” said Alyssa Matthews, marketing and development director at the Harrison Family YMCA. “Tell your friends and family why you give to the Harrison Family YMCA’s Annual Campaign. This #GivingTuesday, let’s give for a better us. We can’t do it alone.”

The YMCA is one of the nation’s leading nonprofit organizations, which strengthens communities through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Across the U.S., 2,700 YMCAs engage 22 million men, women and children — regardless of age, income or background — nurturing the potential of children and teens, improving the nation’s health and well-being and providing opportunities to give back and support the community.
