Two seniors at North East Carolina Prep School have been nominated for the Morehead-Cain Scholarship to attend the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill in the fall.

Caroline Barrett and Bryce Coggin have been nominated for the prestigious four-year scholarship.

Barrett is the daughter James Barrett of Tarboro and Donna Whitehead of Pinetops. Coggin is the son of Brad and Tammy Coggin of Hobgood.

 

The Morehead-Cain scholarship is the top academic scholarship awarded by UNC-Chapel Hill. Each scholarship goes toward tuition and attendance fees for a four-year period.
