Vidant Edgecombe Hospital in Tarboro recently welcomed John Resch as the new director of Patient Care Services.
Resch comes from Pleasant Grove, Utah, where he was serving as director of Emergency Departments at Utah Valley Hospital and Orem Community Hospital. He has over 22 years of health care clinical experience and has a comprehensive background in both patient care and patient experience.
“I was drawn to work here because I believe in the leadership and caregivers at Vidant Edgecombe Hospital and the mission and values of Vidant Health as a whole,” Resch said. “I’m also excited to live on the east coast and explore this part of the country.”
Resch received an associate degree in nursing from Utah Valley University, a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Western Governors University, a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Utah Valley University and a master’s degree in business administration from Arizona State University.
“I am delighted to have John on board as our new director of Patient Care Services,” said Wick Baker, president of Vidant Edgecombe Hospital. “He has the experience, attitude, and determination needed to be a strong leader at the hospital. He has already proved to be an asset to our leadership team.”
Married for over 18 years to wife Jamie, the Resch’s have four children: Olivia, Cade, Logan and Jace.
