The town of Princeville is holding a couple upcoming events geared to its recovery efforts.

An open house will take place from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the Edgecombe County Administration Building Auditorium at 201 St. Andrew St. in Tarboro. Officials said the community is invited to give feedback about a long-term recovery plan.

The town is also holding a clean-up festival starting at 6:30 a.m. Saturday, which will be filled with music, food and fellowship time. The town will have its annual Beautification Day beginning at 6:30 a.m. on July 29. Participants for the events can sign up on the town of Princeville’s Facebook page or at the volunteer table at the day of the events.

The town of Princeville is working with the Coastal Resilience Center, a group in Chapel Hill working with multiple North Carolin towns on long-term recovery from Hurricane Matthew.
