Health Occupations graduates at Edgecombe Community College recently were honored by college staff, family and friends during the annual Health Occupations Recognition Ceremony.
Last year, 193 students completed programs in Community Health Coach, Medication Aide, Nurse Aide I and II, Phlebotomy and Personal Health Care Aide State Training. Some students completed more than one program and earned multiple credentials.
About 30 of these students completed Community Health Coach training, a new program that focuses on chronic disease prevention and management, obesity and weight management and access to health care.
This year’s event marked the fourth recognition ceremony for Health Occupations graduates.
