Vidant Edgecombe Hospital in Tarboro recently announced the leadership promotions of Roxanne Godley, Susan Suiter and Dr. David Prafka.

Roxanne Wynne is the new general manager of food and nutrition services at Vidant Edgecombe Hospital.

Wynne was born and raised in the Pactolus community of Pitt County and is a graduate of East Carolina University. She received both her undergraduate and graduate degrees in nutrition science. Wynne served as a clinical dietitian at other health care facilities before joining Vidant Edgecombe Hospital in 2013 as clinical nutrition manager.

Susan Speed Suiter has been promoted to vice president of patient care services and chief nursing officer.

Prior to this promotion, Suiter held the position of senior director of patient care services at Vidant Edgecombe Hospital. Born and raised in Tarboro, she earned a bachelor’s degree in zoology from N.C. State University and continued her education to obtain a bachelor’s degree in nursing and master’s degree in nursing leadership from Barton College. Suiter received the honor of being named a North Carolina Great 100 Nurse in 2004 and brings more than 21 years of hospital nursing experience to her new role.

Dr. David Prafka is welcomed to Vidant Edgecombe Hospital as the new director of human resources.

Prafka completed an MBA, master’s degree and doctorate in human resource development from N.C. State University and a bachelor’s degree in business from Purdue University. He is professionally credentialed having achieved certifications from the Society for Human Resource Management and Human Resource Certification Institute. Prafka has more than 15 years of experience in life sciences leadership including research and development, supply chain management and health-care delivery.
