As warmer weather has finally arrived, Nash Community College is preparing for Summer Semester.

Now is the time to plan, apply and register for classes or make plans to meet with an advisor. The college is currently enrolling students in on-campus and online courses for summer and fall semesters.

Students who are already enrolled at a university and those who are planning to enter in the fall can get required courses out of the way entirely online this summer through Nash Online. For those interested in on-campus face-to-face classes, transferable courses are also available.

NCC is now enrolling students in university transferable math, English, psychology, sciences and more at half the cost of university tuition. Students who take courses at Nash Community College during the summer semester can save time and money.

Students preparing to graduate from high school and enter NCC in the fall and recent high school graduates are invited to the campus for a Summer Seminar to prepare for college life. The one-day conference-style Summer Seminar event will be held from 8:30 a.m. to - 2:30 p.m. July 17 the NCC Business & Industry Center. The conference will focus on preparing students, parents, and families for success at Nash Community College.

Concurrent sessions for new and prospective students will be offered to help students with the transition into college, exploring strategies for college success at NCC and beyond. Additionally, attendees will learn about NCC’s unique programs, classes, clubs, co-curricular and extracurricular opportunities and other campus offerings.

Information will also be available for parents and families of future NCC students to learn more about the college process, financial aid and scholarships, NCC resources and how to support their student as they enter the college environment.

Summer semester registration began April 8 and runs through May 21. Summer classes begin May 28. Fall semester registration is underway through Aug. 12. Fall semester Orientation Open House is Aug. 15 from 3-7p.m. Fall classes begin Aug. 19.

Regardless of a student’s goals, enrolling at Nash Community College can be the catalyst towards future success whether transferring to a university or entering the workforce. Enrollment information is available at www.nashcc.edu/registration or by calling 252-451-8235.
