The UNC Wilmington baseball team pushed its record to 2-1 this season, using a three-run seventh to secure a 10-8 home win over Saint Joseph’s on Saturday.

Former Faith Christian pitcher Landen Roupp, who helped the Patriots to a state title in 2017, started the game for the Seahawks and earned a no-decision.

The right-handed Roupp threw 61 pitches over two innings and allowed four runs (three earned), two hits and struck out five. It was the first start of the season for Roupp, a sophomore whom the Seahawks have slotted as part of their weekend rotation.

Roupp threw 50 ⅓ innings last season over 15 appearances and is still looking for his first collegiate win.
