The N.C. State baseball team opened its season with an 8-2 win over Bucknell on Friday.

David Harrison, a Rocky Mount High grad, pitched ⅓ of an inning out of the bullpen for the No. 21 Wolfpack. The sophomore threw 14 pitches, allowed one hit and hit a batter in his season debut.

Harrison made nine starts last season, and could see more innings out of the bullpen this season.

Rocky Mount Academy grad Reid Johnston did not throw in Friday’s win.
