The Rocky Mount Prep graduate and Coker College senior was named to the SAC All-Conference second team. The Division II player started 27 of the Cobras’ games this season.

Samuels led the Cobras (12-17) in three statistical categories, including scoring, rebounding and assists. The 6-foot-5 forward averaged 16 points per game, 7.6 boards and 2.2 assists. His scoring and rebound marks were good for sixth and fifth, respectively, in the SAC.
