Hours after losing on a walk-off single to Huntingdon on their home field, third-seeded N.C. Wesleyan took on top-seeded Ferrum at Fleming Stadium in Wilson on Friday night in a USA South baseball tournament elimination game.

The Bishops had little time to rest and only a few cheap McDonalds cheeseburgers for fuel, but that was all they would need.

N.C. Wesleyan got eight innings of one-run ball from Robert Mondoux on a night when the bullpen would have been thin, and right fielder Kaelan Jacobs went 4-for-4 with 3 RBI to lead the Bishops to a 10-1 win.

The Bishops scored two runs in the first and four in the fifth to pull away early.

N.C. Wesleyan takes on LaGrange at 3 p.m. today at Fleming Stadium in the second semifinal.
