Southern Bank names new executive officer

Southern Bank recently promoted Judy Lynn to executive vice president and chief credit officer for the Bank.

She has been in banking for over 29 years and with Southern Bank for the past 15 years.

A native of Raleigh, Lynn is a graduate of the UNC-Wilmington, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in finance. She is also a graduate of the N.C. School of Banking at UNC-Chapel Hill and the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University.

Lynn is a member of Gibson Memorial United Methodist Church and resides in Spring Hope with her husband, Jay. She has two children, John and Jamie.
