Edgar promoted at Southern Bank

Southern Bank is pleased to announce the promotion of William D. Edgar Jr. to senior vice president and regional credit officer in the Rocky Mount area.
He has been in the banking industry for the past 17 years.
A native of Fayetteville, Edgar earned a bachelor’s degree in Finance from the UNC-Wilmington. He is also a graduate of East Carolina University, where he earned a master’s degree in business administration.
Edgar is a board member of the North Carolina Rate Bureau and a member of the Nash-Rocky Mount Rotary Club.
Edgar and his wife, Amanda Edgar, reside in Nashville with their daughter, Kendall. He attends First United Methodist Church of Rocky Mount, where he serves as a member of the Church Council.
