Joyner promoted at Southern Bank

Southern Bank recently announced the promotion of Shannon B. Joyner to senior vice president and mortgage fulfillment manager.
Joyner has previously held the positions of mortgage technical specialist, mortgage operations manager and mortgage manager.
She has been in the banking industry for the past 30 years and has served Southern Bank for the past six years as the Southern Bank mortgage manager of Southern Mortgages and Affiliated Mortgage Services.
Joyner is a native of Nash County. She attended Nash Community College, where she earned an associate degree in business administration and an associate degree in marketing and retailing. She also completed the requirements to become a Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt through programs offered at N.C. State University College of Textiles and Edgecombe Community College. She is also a licensed minister.
Joyner and her husband Rodney Joyner reside in Elm City. She has two children, Logan Joyner and Delaney Joyner. She attends Wave Church in Wilson, where she has served as a life group leader.
